DESCRIPTION
This is a hand-made coffee table by my grandfather, a master craftsman. He designed this checkered table himself, hand-cut and inlaid each individual piece to fit tight and exact to the next piece. The legs are solid oak turned on a lathe. The sides, drawer face, and top edging are also solid oak. The table is custom-made from start to finish and is made from solid materials throughout. 3/4" plywood veneer was used underneath the checker table inlay, which was used so that it would never warp. The drawer slides perfectly, with no damage to the table. The top has slight wear from years of checker use, but there is no damage from it.
